How do you maintain your own emotional well-being and continue growing as a therapist?

I believe self discovery, growth, and healing is a life-long journey. While therapy can be an important part of healing, it is not the only avenue for growth and change. Being in nature is tremendously healing for me, and hiking has been one of the best ways for me to connect with myself and the world around me. I also love to read, and being lost in a book is such a good way for me to unwind. The research around trauma is constantly growing, and it is so exciting! I am consistently looking into the new research and training in trauma and brain research to better serve my clients.
