If you weren’t a psychotherapist, what other career or path do you think you might have pursued?
If I were not a psychotherapist, I would pursue a career as a nutritionist specializing in chronic health conditions. This choice is deeply personal for me, as I spent five long years grappling with stomach pain after every meal. This experience led to feeling defeated and hopeless at times, particularly in my quest for physical healing.
However, throughout this challenging journey, I have discovered invaluable insights into what it truly means to heal the body. I learned about the significant role that nutrition and spirituality plays in managing and alleviating chronic health issues. I explored various dietary approaches that focus on reducing inflammation and promoting cellular rejuvenation, which have been crucial in my healing process. Additionally, I have incorporated prayer and gratitude into every meal, which has completely transformed my relationship with food.
Importantly, I also found ways to embrace creativity and joy in the kitchen. I learned that eating healthily doesn’t mean sacrificing pleasure; instead, it can be an enjoyable experience. By experimenting with vibrant ingredients and flavorful recipes, I discovered that nourishing my body can be both satisfying and delightful. This balance between health and enjoyment has been a key part of my journey, allowing me to reclaim a sense of agency over my well-being.
