What inspired you to become a psychotherapist?
When I was in my 20s, I sought therapy for challenges I was experiencing in my own life, and I was able to gain self awareness that deepened my relationships, improved my sense of self, and helped me heal from past experiences. Through the positive and safe therapeutic relationship I experienced with my therapist, I began to trust myself and then made changes in my life that were more in alignment with who I knew myself to be. It is through my own work of self discovery and healing that I decided to seek professional training and education to become a therapist.
